Xbox Games Showcase Extended 2022: Everything Announced and Visad – IGN

The Xbox Games Showcase Extended has now been completed and, as it was intended, we got extended looks at lots of the games that are in its main showcase on Sunday. Bethesda’s Pete Hines discussed Starfield, Redfall, and Fallout 76; Playground Games provided a deep dive into its coming Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC; and we got new play from small titles including Ara: History Untold and Pentiment.

GSC Game World also shared the inauguration of STALKER 2 along with a developer diary showing what it’s like to work with games in the midst of the Ukraine conflict. Another surprising message came in the form of a confirmation of it the hit game Valheim is coming to Xbox next year after it’s released on PC Game Pass this fall.

Valheim is coming to Xbox

The show began with an announcement trailer for Valheim on Xbox, the game’s first platform outside the PC. Valheim was confirmed to come to PC Game Pass yesterday, but after a handful of game clips, Microsoft also confirmed that it would come to the console.

The game will be released this fall for PC Game Pass and will later make its way to the Xbox One and Series in the spring of 2023. The Steam, Microsoft Store and Xbox versions of Valheim will be completely crossplay.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines talks Redfall, Fallout and Starfield

Bethesda exec Pete Hines gave fans additional insight into open world co-op shooter Red Fall, and discussed how the game mixes the classic Arkane Studios feel with a new (optional) multiplayer element. Hines also discussed what’s new in Fallout 76 and how its community has held on and grown along with the game itself. Starfield was the last topic of discussion when Hines defined what Bethesda calls an “epic RPG”.
