Apple September Event: iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and more to expect

Apple September Event: iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and more to expect

In less than two months, Apple will likely hold its traditional September event. If the company follows the trend, this will be the most important keynote of the year. Although there are several products that Apple can prepare, there are two that people expect the most, the iPhone 14 series and the Apple Watch Series 8. Here is what Apple can announce at its September event.

iPhone 14 at the Apple September Event

The iPhone 14 series will be the star of Apple’s September Event. With four new models set to be introduced, expect a lot of hype from a new iPhone 14 Plus/Max. While the regular models won’t be much different from the current iPhone 13 generation, a larger model will be a nice addition.

At the Apple September Event, expect big changes for the iPhone 14 Pro, as previously reported by 9to5Mac. A new design, a better processor and huge improvements on the camera side. The iPhone 14 series is likely to be one of the biggest Apple launches in years.

Three new Apple Watches are coming

Apple September Event

BloombergMark Gurman has reported that Apple will introduce three new Apple Watch models in 2022, which he called the most significant update to the watch in years.

These watches could be unveiled at Apple’s September event. Apple Watch Series 8 will get at least a new body temperature sensor and a better battery life. The Apple Watch SE is likely to be updated, while Apple is also preparing a rugged “Pro” version of the current watch with a different design and premium finish.

AirPods Pro 2 at the Apple September Event

Recall of AirPods Pro

Aside from the iPhone 14 series and new Apple Watch models, Apple may present the new AirPods Pro 2 at its September event.

With a design similar to the current generation, 9to5Mac sources confirm that the next AirPods Pro model – codenamed B698 – will feature the next version of the H1 chip, Apple’s own audio processor. Additionally, references to LC3 codec support on the AirPods Max beta firmware tease that the AirPods Pro 2 could be the first to add Bluetooth 5.2 support.

This codec will provide more stability and efficiency to the wireless headphones. Not only that, but this new standard will help AirPods Pro 2 improve audio quality for voice calls and songs with higher bitrate support. Although Low Energy Bluetooth and LC3 codec do not promise “Lossless Bluetooth”, they will surely improve the sound quality a lot.

Apple Mixed Reality Headset

Rumors about the Apple Mixed Reality Headset have increased over the past year. During Apple’s September event, the company was able to revive Steve Jobs’ “One More Thing” catchphrase to tease the company’s upcoming Mixed Reality headset.

Rumors currently expect it to be unveiled as soon as this year and go on sale in 2023. The Apple September Event could be the perfect timing for Apple to reveal to the public that it is entering a new market.

For example, early this year the company teased that it is working on a new Mac Pro without further details.

New Mac and iPad computers may arrive a little later

Apple September Event

Apple is also expected to introduce several new Macs and at least two iPads in 2022. While the company unveiled a new MacBook Pro in October, Apple may be preparing another keynote for a month later to bring new Macs and iPads.

IN today’s newsletter, BloombergMark Gurman said Apple has new Mac minis and high-end MacBook Pros for later this year. 9to5Mac sources have already confirmed that Apple is working on the tenth-generation base model iPad and a new iPad Pro.

When will Apple hold its September event?

Apple usually holds its events on a Tuesday. If the company follows the trend of recent years, the keynote could take place on September 13, since it is the second Tuesday of the month.

Although nothing is confirmed – and there are no rumors about the possible date – it is common sense that this could be the perfect time for the company to introduce the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and more.

Since WWDC 2022 had a hybrid experience, Apple may finally be preparing the first in-person event of the year for the iPhone 14 release.
