A number of items have been removed from supermarket shelves across the country over the past week due to food safety concerns.

Food Safety Authority in Ireland (FSAI) has issued several recalls for a specific number of batches of certain products.

Consumers have been urged to check their refrigerators, freezers and cabinets affected objects and follow the issued advice on what to do next.

Retailers who have the affected products in stock will have notices of points of sale in their stores and give shoppers a refund to return affected lots.
